Review: Would like to say a “BIG” thank to all who braved the cold weather came and supported the “2 Damn Hot” Bashment Party!!! Featuring Gully Bop  at “MIYA” Night Club in Chelmsford Essex Friday 27th March 2015……

As per usual the vibe was Electric, kicking of the vibes with DJ Russian playing some old school RnB/Reggae with a touch of Afrobeats, warming up the crowd with his silky smooth mixing, and was followed by Selector “Skippa J” from Missile Sound, who played an exclusive reggae/dancehall selection set setting a good pace, which turned up the heat another notch and coaxing and teasing the crowd in a true mad frenzy hypnotic style, then “DJ Russian” returned with his energetic no nonsense pleasing the ladies segments for an hour and a half, then last but not least of the selectors “DJ Hashtag ” the Resident Selector from “Roxxies” Sound” done his normal cutting edge fine style with an amazing selection of genre’s from Hip/Hop, Dancehall Bashment, Reggae in which the response from the crowd were making some serious noise from the crowd. There was also an electrifying display of dance hall moves from the “NAA LUU” dancers “Koolie, Marley. & Star Bwoy” who showed that they don’t play and what they are made of.

gully bopThen it was “SHOW-TIME” the first act was “Champas” belting out his forthcoming track “Bring Your Loving To Me” followed by the second act who goes by the name of “Trimma” also showcasing his forthcoming song called “Lane” then it was time for the man of the moment the one and only “GULLY BOP”. The minute he walked on to the stage, just his presence alone had everyone in a mad hysteria, it was all applause, whistles, horns, ladies screaming. Then the BOP started with “Dem Running From The” BOP” and that alone was just getting the house buzzing and hyped with the whole house going mad, then he busted out “Every Gyal Want A Wuk Arfa Me” well!!!…that’s all I can say. The “Gully” just kept going hard and on stage with him came an act from the USA called “Amari” who accompanied him on stage for one song .The called “Drop Mi” and every one sang that song word for word. The ladies just couldn’t keep their hands of him as it was such an outstanding performance from the “GULLY BOP” with his DJ’ing skills which was word perfect and clearly understandable in every way. Would like to thank all crews plus the birthday crews from Leicester, Southampton, London, Braintree, Canvey Island, Colchester & Southend crew that made the night what it was …and dem know how fi party for real. And not forgetting Claudette & Sonia at reception that always do a marvellous job.
