Summer Bounce 2016 was boom… Vibes were nice, choons were sweet and the dance floor was ram. What colour took the crown this year? Most people came dressed in white and orange … I’d say white just edge it. Blue & yellow also stood out.

After months of organising & promoting it was finally time for this years 5th anniversary of Summer Bounce. Held at The Curve Bar Princes Street Ipswich.

The night started off really well, with many supporters reaching early, taken advantage of the early bird discount price. Warming up the vibes was Missile’s very own Dj Echo followed by Dj Shaun Curtis playing some sweet soul & RnB both doing a very professional job.

At 11.20pm it was time for Ipswich legendary Dj, Missile Sound CEO Skippa J all dressed in white looking sharp and bright. Dropping some sweet classic one drop reggae with a mix of old skool bashment setting the tone for the night.

Now it was time for midnight night showdown, with Special Touch the right touch, from London city who left last years dance floor in a frenzy. And this year, they delivered yet again, and even more polished set. Special Touch had the dance floor going mad with their unique mix of music covering all genres.

International special guest Dj English Fire, from 2x Grammy award, winning sound Black Chiney. Showed summer bounce how to do professional speed mixing the right way. Nice & clean without too much talking on the mic. From reggae classics to dancehall. Finishing his set with some hip-hop. I Must say, Rihanna work work dubplate remix caught everyone attention, Boom.

Coming onto the stage at 2am, was Ipswich new sensation. Originally from Westmoreland Jamiaca, Selecta Clumzy Q-45 Sound. Selecta Clumzy contribution that he to the table was an authentic Jamaican dancehall vibes.

There was also time for a short but spicy dancehall queen contest. Where the contestant were competing for a summer bounce t-shirt signed by all the dj’s. Congratulation to Marie from Clacton & Dotty from ‘Nacton’ Ipswich who won the competition.

Skippa J ‘Missile Sound’ finished off the night with some RnB & Dancehall slow jams. When the lights came on at 3am the dance floor was still rammed with whistles blowing asking for more, Which shows that it was definitely a good night.

Special mention to Black Steel Tv and Music Bubble for filming & reporting on this year’s event. We’re all looking forward to watching the video/DVD.

Shout out to Worrier Security, who did a splendid job on the night. There was no trouble what so ever. Everyone was well behaved. Which is always good to see.

Many thanks to all those that traveled to Ipswich for this year’s event. shout out to the Clacton crew who arrived in a pink limo, nice touch. Respect to all the Ipswich massive that roll out. Was really good seeing you all enjoying yourself.

Thank you all for your past, present and future support, and the Missile Sound Family really appreciate this, so we salute you all.
