Sunday 3rd June 2012 / Malthouse Ipswich
The hotly anticipated ‘Summer Bounce 2012’ lived up to it’s hype with hundreds of dancehall fans turning out in full force. The Malthouse venue, reached its full capacity before 12.30am leaving the security team with no choice, but to do one in and one out entry, leaving many fans waiting to get in. Missile did warn everyone well in advance to reach early, as this event was all ways going to be a road block. The vibes inside the venue was bubbling with the likes of Skippa J turning it into a stage show, getting the crowds full attention especially when he got them all to do the ‘WILLIE BOUNCE, it did madddd, The Supa Click dancers bought a crazy mad energy, dancing on the stage all though the night keeping the crowd well entertained busting all the latest dancehall move [having dancers does make a huge different].
Each time Stone Love has played in Ipswich, it has all ways been a road block. The first time was back in 1994, and the last time was in 2006 and now they returned for Missile’s flagship ‘’dancehall’ event Summer Bounce 2012, with one of there main selectors BILLY SLAUGHTER who played the Stone Love way…easy juggling mixing dub plates with 45’s old & new. Billy Slaughter has a world renown unique voice, once you hear it, you just know that it is Stone Love playing. Supa Click made there first appearance in Ipswich kicking off there deejay set with a Hip-hop segment which really got the crowd extra hype, you had to be there to see it. All in all it was a very successful night, it might not of pleased everyone, but it was something totally different to the usual club night out. It was dancehall vibes at its best with a mixed crowd of old and young, that in itself was very good to see. Reggae, Bashment RnB, Hip-hop, old and new flava’s all mixed together. Like they say ‘variety is the spice of life’.
Many thanks goes out to all those who attended, your support is well appreciated. Winter / Summer Bounce is now Missile’s flagship event for dancehall, look out for Winter Bounce 2012 & Summer Bounce 2013 it ah go maddd… please leave a comment.
Video footage coming soon…

Once again Summer Bounce was a excellent night! Nice to see everyone on the dance floor enjoying themselves! As always music was good, the vibe was good and there was nothing but happy people!
Had great set with Mc Terror last night. 11:30-12 but it felt and looked like a 1am set! SUMMERBOUNCE WAS BIG… Shout out to Skippa & Blacksteel. BIG SELECTORS IN THE GAME
Gutted I missed this dance.
Me gutted too
Well!! what can i say ? apart from you miss one of Ipswich best dancehall events ha ha…
They were some crazy dance moves coming from the click dancers, can’t wait to see them again
Click dancers smash it..
Stone Love & Missile playing together!! you done no its was a road block…
Skippa J really played good, he represented Ipswich in a big way, i thought he played the best set on the night, big up all the missile crew.
Everybody is waiting for the next one, honour & Respect . Your bringing the good time vibes back to ippy . WICKED …..
Best night out in Ipswich for a very long time, big up the Missile crew you guys know how to promote a big event, you really got the crowd on your side.
It was good to see a mix age group all parting together, very good night…
Couldn’t believe the venue had reach its full capacity at 12.30am, felt sorry for those who had to wait to get in, one in one out thats crazy!! and it was raining.
CD’s sound live bro.. nice one.
Click dancers put on one piece of show, they were great.. when is the next event?
See what i’m saying, nuff ppl did love the way how click dancers were dancing on stage.. you can’t please everybody..big up Lauren
Best part of the night was when that click dancer jump way of the speaker boxers onto the stage right on top of that poor girl, was that part of the plan? i was shock never seen anything like that before, the crowd went crazy..just had a look at the pictures lovely.
CD maddd, good quality
Big up Skippa…. l had a wicked nite… Back in the USA now. See u all next year
Best night out in Ipswich, it was my first time at a missile event and all my friends love it, when is the next one????????????????????????????
Glad you enjyed it Missile’s next event is Caribbean Music Day Saturday 30th June Christchurch Park Ipswich, with a after party back at Reflections.. Soca & Dancehall Link-Up.. it ah go crazy
SKIPPA SUMMERBOUNCE Was good, but please play more music for people to dance it sounds like it was a superclick show, we don’t mind a bit of their entertaining dancing but they shouldn’t stay on stage all night,it ruins the night.
I study the whole night and click dancers hit the stage last 15min of Skippa J’s wicked dj set 12.45/1am and the vibes got over hype, Stone Love played whole hour 1/2am bare reggae without any dancers on stage and the vibes did dip, so Stone Love switch it back to bashment 2/2.30am and Click dancers came back on stage 2am till dance done.. so i wouldn’t say they were on stage all night, but them did save Stone Love.. but i wasn’t watching them all night cause me and my crew were parting hard..
Super Click played a wicked Hip-Hop set, the crowd went madddddd… Best night out in Ipswich for years!!!
Nice pictures..
what a turn out!! big crowd for a dancehall event in country, it shows that Bashment & Reggae is running tings, nuff respect to Skippa J & the Missile crew for putting Ipswich back on the map…..
Gutted i didn’t go, when is the next summer bounce?
Many thanks goes out to all those who attended, your support is well appreciated. Winter / Summer Bounce is now Missile’s flagship event for dancehall, look out for Winter Bounce 2012 & Summer Bounce 2013 it ah go maddd…
Was a good night, thought Stone Love could of played a lot better thou.. they kind of let there fans down, Billy Slaughter is one of there main selectors and should of come across a lot stronger, but still good to see the old Zest night club pack out and the Missile Sound System firing..
YOU RIGHT MR B,TOO MUCH OF SUPERCLICK SHOW THAT’S NOT WHY WE THERE, YOU ARE GOOD DJ SKIPPA SO PLAY THE VIBES AND ENTERTAIN PLEASE.
Skippa played the best, Stone Love did play a little bit weak thats why you need the dancers to help build a vibe, thats how dancehall is going at the moment… But at the same time some of the older crowd just want to hear the music like me, so me just parting with my girl and not forcus to much on what was happening on the stage…
Hi skippa, wicked night last weekend just a shame them few idiots want to cause friction in ur dance, but I guess we will always have idiots around us,but big up missile sound
Yeh man I enjoy yes can’t wait 2 go out again da tunes were bangin da dances wooooo at 1 point I was out side smoke heard over da hill nd valley nd I didnt finshin smokein. Run up them stair did go bk out side didn’t wan miss no more gud tunes or da dances xx
Wicker nite came home was still listen to da cd u gave me dance in living room mi md mi friend them didn’t get to bed till 6 wooooo
I agree with Mr B and TJ, too much of a supa click show yes they were good but we wanted more reggae music, may be two rooms is better than one, just like summer bounce 2011 at The Curve Bar upstairs room was nice with special touch, bring them back down please.
Wicked night, good vibes big up all the dj’s you all played good, also big up the dancers on stage you made the stage look lively, thanx
I really enjoyed music and click dancers etc, however their was a few things that took the shine off the night and they were all to do with the venue itself. First thing being the ridiculous “woman first in rubbish” I was told to “come through, come through”by security, searched, (not a problem) “go over there and pay” Thank you.. I didnt see my husband no more for little over half hour!! In the smoking area where the little shelterd bit is was so full of rubbish we were ankle deep in it, and a guy pointed out to us a RAT in the far corner(honestly)…and my last gripe was the 30 minute (at least) waiting at the bar to get served! Apart from all that, lol lol, the actual event was really enjoyable.
Big respect to Skipper J Missile for pulling off a successful Dance Hall vibe with Stone Love mashin up the place,it was good to see the original DJ Billy Slaughter do his ting, can`t wait for the next one.Goose.
