Essex Feel Good Party

Saturday 4th June 2016

Would like to say a “MASSIVE” thanks to all the “RAVERS” last night who came and supported & partied hard right through till 03:00 @ the “FEEL GOOD” Reggae & Soul Party @ “MIYA” Night Club, Chelmsford Essex. It was also good to see some really early bird “RAVERS” who turned up from 21:30 last night even though the official starting time was 22:00, and this shows that they could not wait for the “FEEL GOOD” vibes.

The night started off with Black Steel playing some Rock Steady, Studio1, with some Pioneers and Jimmy Cliff classics followed by some MOTOWN/Brunswick Soul with the legend Archie Bell & the Drells and the ladies on the dancefloor seemed to be loving that vibe. then at 23:00 DJ Mark Tracey came on and shelled down some Funk with artist like the Gap Band & Gwen Mcrae with a little sprinkling of Reggae such as Inner Circle la la long.

By now it was 00:30 and it was time for the artist Wendy Walker, who came on stage with a bright and cheerfull aura that had the crowd laughing and she talked to the crowd for around 5 minutes before her performance commenced. Wendy Walker had the crowd singing her songs especially when she sang her hits “Hurt again” and “The Fist Cut Is The Deepest with a great round of appluase after every song. It was a really good look having a UK Reggae icon gracing the “Feel Good” event with such grace & talent.

Then came the Missile Sound DJ Skippa J from Ipswich who turned it up another notch with classics from the 80’s like Courtney Melody’s Modern Girl and many more from that era with a hint of 90’s reggae and RnB and that drew even more “RAVERS” on to the dance floor, and there was a lot of hands up in the air showing appreciation for the Missile Sound Selector Skippa J.

A special thanks goes out again to the “FEEL GOOD” RAVERS such as Shelley Biggs. Gina Gallimore Disley, Emma Sawyer, Emma Tracey, Lisa Ryman, Karen Tinsley, Clinton Whittick, Madeline Chalmers, Orinthia Whittick, Lisa Fallan, Jennifer Veronica Flowers, Whitmore Brown, Evelyn Germain, Jay Russian Cushion, Donna Allison and many more that i did not mention.

This event showed that “BIG” people still know how to party hard……and also a “BIG” respect to the few younger “RAVERS” that came to the event too. Please keep your eyes peeled for the next “FEEL GOOD” Reggae & Soul Party coming soon again @ “MIYA” Night Club, Chelmsford Essex.

God bless you all & once again thank you for all your past and present and future support.
